Iggy Azalea Performs "Fancy" & "Work" on "The Today Show"
Iggy Azalea will be performing her new single “Black Widow” with Rita Ora for the first time on television at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on August 24th. That’s the reason why the Australian rapper didn’t perform the Stargate-produced banger this morning (August 8th) during her set at ‘The Today Show’ at Rockfeller Plaza in New York City. Iggy performed two songs on ‘TODAY’ but unfortunately none was “Black Widow” nor a duet. Does that mean she didn't do "Fancy"?
Iggy DID perform her monster hit “Fancy” but without Charli XCX - who's in London doing promo for her own solo career and her single "Boom Clap". Iggy's back-up singers had to fill in for Charli. After killing it with "Fancy", and doing a brief chat with the ‘TODAY’ co-hosts, Iggy went on to set the stage ablaze and throw fans into pandemonium with a live performance of “Work”. Iggy kept the song’s lyrics family-safe but couldn’t avoid the crowd to shout out the explicit ‘blowjobs for Louboutins’ part anyway.
Iggy looked so happy in the interview! “Fancy” has indeed changer her life. And "Black Widow” is rising fast on the Hot 100 (#19 now). Will it go #1 too?. Remember Ms. Azalea's debut album "The New Classic" is in stores NOW.
