Iggy Azalea & Anitta Slay “Switch” On “The Tonight Show”: Watch
Get that American TV platform, Brazilian queen Anitta!
Iggy Azalea delivered the first ever live and televised performance of her new single “Switch” on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” on Friday night (May 26). The performance featured the live presence of “Bang” singer Anitta, who flew all the way to New York City on a direct flight from Brazil earlier in the week.

“Switch” is taken from the Australian raptress’ forthcoming second studio album “Digital Distortion”, which after much delays, WILL be released on June 30th.
SO… it was good to see Iggy FINALLY doing promo for “Switch” seven whole days after the single got released on iTunes. Where was she? I know rehearsing for this TV performance couldn’t have taken her a week! She had barely done any promo up until now and she was just wasting time ranting on social media about how sad she was an unfinished version of her “Switch” music video had leaked online. But anyhow, she finally got her big behind off of her couch and started doing the needy promo. “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” was a good start. Although I’m not sure how she got her label to get her such relevant TV slot when “Switch” hasn’t naturally proved to be a hit just yet. But at least it talks well of how Def Jam still believes in Iggy. But here’s the bad news, though: Despite this “Fallon” performance, “Switch” still, as of this post, hasn’t been able to return to the Top 100 on iTunes. OH NO!
As for the performance here, I loved it. Iggy knows how to work a stage and my Anitta looked so hot, hot, hot. Don’t know why, though, she had to leave the stage halfway the performance when there obviously was still a chorus left for her to sing. GRRRR! (and thank God Iggy called Anitta back to the stage when Jimmy Fallon was doing the one-on-one finale greeting. She deserved to be there! Why didn't she immediately run to the stage when the performance was over, though? Maybe she got nervous or something. It wasn’t until Iggy called her that she came. Thank god she didn’t miss those precious extra on-screen seconds.) And by the way, didn’t Anitta sound so good in English? Crossover better come soon!
