Icona Pop Release Jerk-Repellent New Song “F U”: Listen Up!
Is this "brand new" Icona Pop? Well, technically it isn't "brand new" as we already heard this song "F. U" live on a Samsung "360 Experience" online concert that the Swedish girls performed late last year, but it's "somewhat new" because this week Icona Pop released the full studio version on SoundCloud.
"F. U" is a sort of "garage rock meets Icona Pop's trademark pop" angry/angsty song where Caroline and Aino sing about a man who wants to get/make out with them in the club just because he feels like the "king of the world" and he is hot. But you know what? Caroline and Aino are strong independent women and they don't need those kind of jerks in their lives. So after "playing" with him, they will tell him to "F. U!!!". A NEW FEMALE ANTHEM WE HAVE HERE.
"F. U" is said to appear on Icona Pop's forthcoming second international album. That will be released, allegedly later this year, via TEN Music and Atlantic Records.
