Hey Violet Smash Heart Piñata In “Break My Heart” Music Video: Watch
Hey Violet's "Break My Heart" is our current obsession and our obsession received this week the music video treatment through VEVO.
The fantastic electropop/rock "Break My Heart", about actually finding enjoyment in getting your heart broken into pieces from time to time, is an official single from the American band's forthcoming debut studio album (as Hey Violet that is, because before they were known as Cherri Bomb) - to be released later in 2017.
Co-directed by Jesse Heath and Darren Craig, the "Break My Heart" music video sees a lot of red and blue, lead vocalist Rena Lovelis hanging at a cheerleaders locker room (because cheerleaders get their hearts broken more often than anybody?), her hitting a heart-shaped "piñata" with a baseball bat, and later performing "Break My Heart" really energetically with the rest of the band at an abandoned site flanked by motocross bikers. YEAH, IT'S A LOT. BUT THE WHOLE THING LOOKS COOL!
