Gwen Stefani performed for the first time on a television show her new single “Used To Love You”, inspired by her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
The heartbreak-themed mid-tempo ballad is supposedly the new “first single” (“Baby Don’t Lie” who?) from the upcoming third solo album by the former No Doubt leader, which according to her its release date is still “up in the air”.
The first televised performance of “Used To Love You” today, October 26th, in a new episode of “The Ellen Show”. Wearing a very simple look made of blue jeans and sleeveless white t-shirt, Gwen delighted the crowd in the studio and the thousands of fans watching from their homes with a super solid performance of “Used To Love You”. Gwen was accompanied on stage by 5 band members, and with respect to her stage presence, given that the theme she opted for for this performance was of “simplicity”, Gwen remained stood up in the same place most of the time and simply let her voice and emotion of the lyrics captivate the spectators.
