Gucci Mane & Chris Brown “Tone It Down” On New Joint Song, Samples Drake's "Portland"?

gucci mane tone it down

Collaborative mixtape possibly on the way?

Gucci Mane and Chris Brown released today the fourth joint track of their career: “Tone It Down”. Rumor has it the two are planning on dropping a collaborative mixtape The arrival of “Tone It Down” comes shortly after Gucci Mane dropped “DropTopWop” and before Chris Brown releases “Heartbreak on a Full Moon”. So you might wonder: “where the hell will this song land on?”. And “collaborative mixtape” might the answer.

Tone It Down” hears Gucci Mane, aka. the man who’s possibly at fault for the surprisingly disappointing performance of Fifth Harmony’s latest single “Down”, rapping about this “baller” ways (“Ballin’ like an athlete, but I ball all four season”) and Chris singing about taking shots of expensive alcohol (“Champagne takin’ shots, won’t have a hangover”).

Actually, the best part of this song could be its cool flute-based melody. But, after a few listens, I realized those flutes sounded familiar. And I found out why. The instrumental of Gucci Mane’s “Tone It Down” bears a striking resemblance to Drake’s “Portland” song! Lawsuit coming?
