The Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper unveiled on Friday night (December 19th) via YouTube the 16-minute “The Pinkprint Movie”; a long very-random mess. I know Republic Records and Nicki are preoccupied for the first-week US sales of the new album (which undoubtedly – according to reports – is going sell a lot less than its predecessor) but releasing a mini-movie to push it? For real? It’s Nicki Minaj for crying out loud; not Beyoncé or Lana del Rey. She shouldn’t be releasing movies to promote her album; she should be releasing new twerk tutorials or ass-building routines instead, 'cause in all truth that's what people expect from her (that’s the price you pay for “Anaconda”) and not this dramatic nonsense.
