Rapper Future was the musical guest on the 14th episode of Season 41 of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC this past Saturday, March 5th.

This was Future’s first time on “SNL” and truth is that it was long overdue, given the success the rapper has amassed in the latest times - selling albums like hotcakes and topping the charts.

On Saturday night, Future performed two songs live. The first being “March Madness” - taken from his “56 Nights” mixtape, and the second, “Low Life”, off his latest studio album “EVOL”, which he released earlier in 2016. As you must very well know, “Low Life” is a collaboration with The Weeknd, and Mr. Abel (The Weeknd’s real name) was on stage with Future on this past weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” episode to perform their song together (first time ever).

The Weeknd is a very busy man nowadays, so when I read on Twitter the rumors about Future performing “Low Life” on SNL, I assumed that he was going to invite a different male crooner singer to sing The Weeknd’s choruses, so imagine my surprise when I saw The Weeknd himself performing “Low Life” with Future and not a “replacement”. I’m sure he must’ve cancelled several gigs to make Future this favor.

The Weeknd’s vocals on SNL were perfection, and so crystal-clear! Meanwhile, Future also did this thing showing a lot of great attitude/swagger on stage, and rapping with a high energy - however, I did not like the fur coat he used…but I guess that belongs to a different discussion... right?
