Fergie Delivers The Worst US National Anthem Performance In TV History: Watch… If You Dare!
This was literally one of the hardest things I’ve had to watch. What was Fergie thinking? And why did one warn her of the mess she was about to unfold in rehearsals?
The former Black Eyed Peas star performed the U.S national anthem prior to the beginning of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night. Many celebrities, TV personalities and of course famous NBA players attended the game and well, they were witnesses and victims of Fergie’s unpleasant live delivery of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

The cringe was real for this performance; I don’t know how I managed to watch the entire thing. I guess I forced myself to do it for reviewing purposes. But it was hard, very hard. The melody change was a mess, Fergie’s vocals were a mess, it was a mess that she didn’t try to rectify things when, I’m 100% convinced, she knew things were going terrible, and it was a mess than she didn’t run away in shame after the last note. “Let’s make some basketball!!!” and smile? Really? LOL.
Oh boy. It’s going to take quite some time for all of us to forget about this performance. I would recommend Fergie to disappear from social media for a while. I mean, how can you speedy recover from a performance that was laughed at by many important people!
