Fall Out Boy Sample The Munsters' Theme On New Song Titled..."Uma Thurman": Stream

fall out boy uma thurman

Who is a little obsessed with ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Kill Bill’ actress Uma Thurman? Your answer is: rock band Fall Out Boy.

Ever since the tracklisting of their new album “American Beauty / American Psycho” was made public last month in the iTunes pre-order launch, eyebrows have remained raised at the fact Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and Co. have a song titled “Uma Thurman” on it. It seems the Illinois rockers have realized that the time has come to make a tribute song to one of their all-time icons and that is our beloved Black Mamba. Sure, who doesn’t like Uma Thurman? I mean, she kicked ass in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Kill Bill’, she’s got a terrific personality, and she's a great human being (she supports gun control laws). But writing a song about her and making the title her full name? Hmmm, not sure if this is totally awesome or a bit creepy. Anyhow, the result is brilliant. “Uma Thurman” is undoubtedly one my favourites (and one of the catchiest songs) on FOB’s upcoming 6th album “American Beauty / American Psycho” (out Jan. 16).

“Uma Thurman” song review

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Fall Out Boy use a sample of The Munsters’ theme song in “Uma Thuman”. Yet another reason to love this track, huh? Great guitar riffs, great overall rock production, excellent (as ever) vocals by frontman Patrick Stump and the whole “Uma Thurman” record is just so catchy. “She wants to dance like Uma Thurman”, sings Patrick in the hook. Could she?
