Esmee Denters Covers Stevie Wonder For Billboard!
Dutch popstar Esmee Denters is featured in this week's edition of Mashup Monday on Billboard.com. She sings a cover of Stevie Wonder's 1977 hit single "As". Watch Esmee showcast some lovely and great vocals in this stripped down performance. The girl from the town of Arnhem in The Netherlands who Justin Timberlake discovered and signed (to JT's label Tennman Records), released last year her debut album. Her first single "Outta Here" was a moderate hit across Europe. The album managed to peak #5 in Holland and #48 on the UK's charts. Esmee is now trying to crack America. Denters' latest single "Love Dealer" which features boss Justin Timberlake himself was released in the US a few weeks ago, it had a music video, but now we're waiting for Esmee to give it some actual promotion! Album should come in August for the US. In the UK, "Love Dealer" will be out on July 12th and let's see if it becomes Esmee's second Top 10 hit in British lands.
