DNCE’s New Song “Forever” Rather Disappointing? Listen!

dnce forever

DNCE totally lost their mojo in this song. What happened?

The Joe Jonas-led band have a contribution in the form of an original song called “Forever” on the soundtrack of the upcoming animated film “The Lego Batman Movie” (opening in theaters on February 10th) but the song is just disappointing. Why? Because we’ve learned to love DNCE for their fun funk-dance-pop songs, and “Forever” is just average pop-rock music. It’s without true DNCE soul, and it kind of sounds as something DNCE were FORCED to record more than something they truly crafted for themselves.

Anyway, if you’re a hardcore DNCE fan you will probably have “Forever” on repeat no matter what. But for me, it is something that I will quickly delete from my mind so I can keep relating DNCE to their flawless-to-date songs catalogue.

I WILL say, though, that the message of the song is rather inspiring. “I'll never forget the first time I saw the truth / That the power in me, it shines brighter than the moon / Every dream that I see, it becomes reality”, sings Joe Jonas. But they should have let another singer/band record this anyway!
