Coldplay Make ‘Ellen’ Crowd Scream! Watch Their “Adventure Of A Lifetime” & “Everglow” Performances!
Just as I told you, promotion of Coldplay’s “A Head Full of Dreams” album on American television was imminent.
Yesterday, December 4th, the same day of the seventh Coldplay album release, the British rock band was the musical guest on ‘The Ellen Show’. There, Chris Martin and Co. performed not one but two songs from “A Head Full of Dreams”; the lead single “Adventure of a Lifetime” and the ballad “Everglow” – click here if you want to know more about the story that inspired this song. One up-tempo and one slow jam? Good! This is what I call balancing your concert right.
For the “Adventure of a Lifetime” performance, Coldplay stuck to the original routine that is: Chris Martin singing stooped over, and jumping up and down throughout the entire stage. I know “Adventure of a Lifetime” is a feel-good song and it makes you want to lose it a bit but I think Chris takes it a bit too far.
In the last part of the performance, Gwyneth Paltrow’s ex approached the studio crowd to make them actively participate by singing along the “woo-hoos!” of the song. Chris got all of them to scream for their lives!
Last but not least, the “Everglow” performance saw Coldplay perform amidst a sea of fake flowers and Chris Martin play the piano wearing the most awful Barbershop Quartet-looking jacket. Good vocals, though!
