Netflix released this summer an exclusive original new series called “The Get Down”, and besides how awesome the series was, we could also enjoy an exceptional soundtrack, with one of the most acclaimed songs from said musical set being the Christina Aguilera-sung “Telepathy”. This disco song was so good that in a way it was kind of sad it was only a “soundtrack” song, for it was believed back then “Telepathy” wouldn’t be promoted at all and that it would “die” with the series, however, two months after the premiere of “The Get Down” on Netflix, Christina Aguilera surprises her dear fans with the release of an unofficial music video for “Telepathy”. I say “unofficial” because this visual “Xtina” premiered via YouTube last night (Oct. 30) runs only 1 minute and 30 seconds, half the length of the original song.

In this unexpected unofficial music video, we can see Miss Christina Aguilera feeling like a disco queen in shimmery outfits sitting down on a 70s sofa with a disco ball between her legs and relaxing lied down on the room’s floor but still moving to the mighty beat of the song. This unofficial music video, or “fan video” as Christina titles it on YouTube (it’s supposed to be a little thank-you gift for her fans), also has a “behind the scenesfeel as we can see for instance make-up people fixing Christina up in some scenes.

Christina looks quite stunning in this visual, and I’m so grateful for this gift to her fans because I am too a big fan of “Telepathy”. Nevertheless, I’m a bit upset as well because she didn’t give us a full music video, and I don’t get why. She was already shooting it… why couldn’t she let the director film her doing her thing with the disco ball for 3 minutes? Right?
