New Music: Christina and Selena: Oye Mi Canto!

This is why Christina Aguilera should do another Spanish album!! Remember 'Mi Reflejo' from 2000? That album slayed my soul! Every single song on it was pure perfection, and despite fear of profitability issues, the set managed to get platinum certifications in several Latin American countries and Spain, and the released singles topped the charts for weeks!. Anyhow, check out above a new Christina Aguilera spanish tune entitled "La Casa". This is NEW stuff, as it's been confirmed she recorded it for the sountrack of the upcoming movie "La Casa de Mi Padre" (The House of My Father) starring Will Ferrell which will hit theaters later in 2011. It's amazing!! Her vocals are still strong! Haters, eat your hearts out! lol. Stunning stuff. I really hope Christina gets the chance to do a second Spanish album. It'll be amazing.

Next on today's Spanish music festivities is Selena Gomez. If you thought "Dices" - the Spanish version of "Who Says" - was a one off thing this era, think again! In fact, Selena has decided to include not one but TWO Spanish tracks on her new album "When the Sun Goes Down" (June 28th). "Fantasma de Amor" (below) - the Spanish version of her song "Ghost of You" - will be available on the exclusive 'Target' edition of "When the Sun Goes Down". It sounds OK..."Dices" was more of my liking. Unlike Christina Aguilera, when Selena sings in Spanish, it sounds too affected. But if she works on her Spanish, pronunciation, etc, I think Selena could perfectly record a full album in this language. Her dad would be proud!
