Chris Brown - 'Fine China' (Music Video)

Chris Brown keeps his promise and premieres the music video for his new song "Fine China", at 9AM sharp on April 1. The groovy retro R&B record serves as the first single from the singer's upcoming sixth studio album "X" due in the summer of 2013. Watch the cinematic clip Chris co-directed with Sylvain White above.

Before judging the video, I think we should establish a difference between being inspired by Michael Jackson and simply copying him, 'cause probably most of the comments about the "Fine China" MV will revolve around this issue. I think Chris has never hidden his huge admiration and love for MJ - should we remember him crying during his tribute performance at the 2010 BET Awards, so we can't do anything at the fact Brown will most likely for the rest of his career bring something MJ-esque in each era's music.

So, the music video for "Fine China" indeed has A LOT (a lot, a lot) of Michael Jackson elements but it's a great clip anyway. In it, Chris shows the audience he CAN be a gentleman, and 'treat' a female companion correctly. He takes her Asian girlfriend for a night out in a club contrary to her father's point of view, who does not in any way accept her relationship with a man of the characteristics of Chris Brown. Chris will 'fight' for his lady against some martial arts-trained assassins with 'dance moves', however, ultimately, when the father gets to the club with his 'gang', Chris gets 'his' out too, and....well...the outcome is uncertain, lol. You better watch it. But *hint*...it seems there'll be a continuation.

What do you think of the video?
