Audio: Nelly Furtado Has An 'Espiritu Invencible'
Ever since recording the duet "Fotografía" with Juanes back in 2003, Nelly Furtado has been very in touch with her 'Latin' side - For the Canadian-Portguese singer included the Spanish hit "Te Busqué" on 2006's "Loose", and eventually released a full-length Spanish album, called "Mi Plan" in 2009.
Now with her new "The Spirit Indestructible" era, Nelly doesn't want to lose face. And in celebration of the release of the title track as second single from the album, she has recorded a special Spanglish version of the song "Spirit Indestructible" or should I say "Espiritu Invencible". The hit-hard Darkchild-produced melodic beat is still there, and it's just Nelly singing the chorus in Spanish and keeping the English original for the verses. All in all, I like it. I just wish this would've been a full Spanish track. I guess Nelly couldn't write good lyrics for the verses, or the transitions were difficult to work with?. In any case, enjoy!
