One Direction fans around the world went into frenzy on Sunday night (September 14th) when the British boyband announced their brand new single, that is, the official first single from their upcoming fourth studio album “Four” which will hit stores on November 17th via Syco/Columbia Records.

"Fireproof", the free song Zayn and Co. made available for free download for a period of 24 hours on the band’s official website last week, was just an album track, so, please, don't get confused (click here to listen to "Fireproof" (if you missed the free download time) and read our review).

  1. The first single from "Four" is titled "Steal My Girl".
  2. “Steal My Girl” was co-written by Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne of One Direction, with Ed Drewett, Wayne Hector, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan.
  3. The cover art for "Steal My Girl" (see below) was also revealed during Sunday's announcement. The photo shows the One Direction boys sitting on a wall and on the edge of an empty pool.
  4. “Steal My Girl” will get its first play on radio in the morning of September 29th (first in the UK and then in the US).
  5. The iTunes release date of “Steal My Girl” will be September 29th for the entire world with the exception of the United Kingdom, which will get the song on iTunes on October 12th.
  6. To make up for the longer wait, One Direction will release “Steal My Girl” on iTunes UK as a special bundle including an exclusive remix done by Liam Payne for free.
