Zedd Releases Studio Version Of "True Colors" Featuring Kesha: Stream Now!

kesha zedd true colors

Zedd kept his promise.

When he said he was going to record something with Kesha, he wasn't lying.

If a few days ago we saw Kesha and him performing his song "True Colors", the title track from his 2015 studio album, at the 2016 edition of the Coachella Festival live, today (April 28) we can check out the studio version of this Zedd and Kesha collaboration via Spotify. Tomorrow the song will be available on iTunes.

Zedd has re-worked "True Colors" so Kesha be the singer now. She can be heard belting out the emotional song with filtered (yet fitting for the style of the song) vocals. "All my life, one page at a time / I'll show you my, my true colors / No I won't apologize for the fire in my eyes / Let me show you my, my true colors, it ain't no rainbow", she sings in the chorus - which ironically sums up the emotions that she must be going through right now in her life. It felt really moving hearing Kesha singing "True Colors". I'm grateful to Zedd for making this happen.

Isn't Kesha in big trouble with her label? How come she can be releasing "new" music under her own name? Well, good questions. Zedd has a good answer for this thankfully.

Yep. That was Dr. Luke quickly replying to Zedd's tweet. Do you detect a bit of "shade" too? God, he is so obnoxious these days.

Hit or Miss?
