Little by little we have more songs from Zayn Malik’s highly-anticipated debut solo album “Mind of Mine”. Today, March 17th, the former One Direction star released a new album countdown single on iTunes in the form of the song “Befour”. The track can be streamed, as of this post, on VEVO and Spotify, and it can be purchased individually on iTunes - or, you also can get it if you pre-order “Mind of Mine” on the Apple digital music platform right now.
“Befour” is one of the new Zayn songs that we could preview a few months ago on the feature Zayn had on online magazine “The Fader”. Do you remember?
The new countdown single from “Mind of Mine” lasts three minutes and a half and it features a pretty groovy R&B-electro/synth production. The chorus of the song gives me strong Justin Timberlake vibes…and that ain’t a bad thing, right?

What’s “Befour” about? “So say what you wanna say, what you want / Shame is you won't say that to my face”, sings Zayn in the song. It seems that “Befour” is a tune where Zayn voices his “fed up” feelings about the criticism of haters. Zayn kind of tells them in this song to “back off”, and that he will keep doing what he wants. Although, some people also say Zayn is talking about One Direction here. What do you think?
