Her new single "Flame" was released on iTunes on Wednesday midnight. You can also stream it on Spotify.
Produced the brilliant minds of Stargate and Bloodpop, "Flame" is by all means a pop song. A pure pop song. And it sounds... nice. It perhaps doesn't scream 2017 that much (maybe 2012?) but the song is severely cute, it's a new sound from Tinashe, the chorus is very likeable and sing-alongy, Top 40 will welcome this with open arms, and we seriously hope this single WORKS for Tinashe.
"Flame" may sound just a tad dated but who doesn't like vintage these days?
Tinashe just tried it all. She's tried R&B, she's tried pop R&B, she's tried hip hop, she's tried synth-R&B, and now the time has come (or her label has forced her to) to try pure pop. "Joyride" will be very eclectic...
"Flame" is a song that hears Tinashe asking a love her to please stay with her, to not abandon her, because according to her their story isn't over yet and their flame is still burning. Very poetic.
We're literally waiting for Tinashe to serve sex in her music video. The steamy song requires it, lol.
