World Premiere: Stevie Wonder & Ariana Grande - "Faith": Full Audio + Review

ariana grande and stevie wonder sing faith

Just a few days ago it was announced that the legendary Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande had recorded their first collaboration ever, and that the song was titled “Faith”. Well “Faith”, a duet that is part of the soundtrack of the upcoming Illumination Entertainment animated film “Sing”, which will hit theaters on December 31st and features voices by the likes of Matthew McConaughey or Reese Witherspoon, world premiered today, November 3rd, via Spotify, and it will be available on iTunes starting tomorrow.

Faith” is an upbeat R&B-soul number, with a fabulous finger-snapping melody, where Stevie and Ariana equally divide the singing times. “I got faith in you now / And you've been such a good friend of me / I met you, hallelujah, I got faith”, sing both stars on the chorus of a song where Stevie and Ariana thank God for having allowed them to meet this man/woman for they seem like the ideal people to spend the rest of their lives with. If you got faith, things like these can happen! Ariana adds, “I’mma make it my mission, make him feel alright”. And we all know that when this girls sets her eyes on someone, she’s going to get him, e.g Mac Miller.

What a fun little song, puts you in a good mood, and truth is that it’s quite outstanding for just a mere soundtrack. Also, congratulations to Ariana for having accomplished quite a feat with this collaboration; to have recorded an original duet with the one and only Stevie Wonder!

PS: Does anyone else have the impression that Ariana toned her vocals down a bit for this song? She usually lets her vocals explode in songs like these but she didn’t do that in “Faith”. Was she maybe advised to keep it tranquil so she wouldn’t overshadow Stevie?
