"Alive" is the official lead single from the Australian singer-songwriter's forthcoming new studio album titled "This Is Acting", which RCA will release later this year. The song "Alive" will be available for purchase on all major digital stores starting tomorrow, September 25th.
"Alive" was originally meant for Adele's upcoming third studio album (Adele even helped Sia writing the song!) but it was rejected by Adele's label to make the final tracklisting in the last minute. On "Alive" and "This Is Acting", Sia recently said the following in an interview:
"It’s about Adele’s life, so I now sing a song from Adele’s perspective. This is the first song from this new project. I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘This is something I would say’. It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun".
