Denmark’s MØ is giving the middle finger to her old music and embracing the tempting mainstream sounds.
The “Lean On” star knows she has to keep her momentum going and she’s enlisted Diplo to produce her a new single. The result? “Kamikaze”. This new song is scheduled to hit iTunes tomorrow, October 15th, worldwide; with the exclusive first radio play taking place tonight on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show (Update: screw the long wait! This is a hit! Diplo just knows these folklore-sounding tracks are the way to go with MØ. He made her flawlessly serve ‘Indian music meets 2015 EDM beats’ realness in “Lean On” (Diplo is 1/3 of Major Lazer) and he’s now making serve Greek traditional music FIRE in “Kamikaze”.
This song is so catchy! That chorus, that bridge, that pre-bridge, those verses, that infectious production! BEAST!!! Oh, and what about MØ’s fantastic vulnerable-like vocals in this one, and her unexpected long notes in the bridge (fade in the background)? This is just too amazing. “Take me to the party / Kami-Kamikaze”, MØ order us in her new single. There’s a party going? Holler at MØ, then, because she is definitely going!
