Last “new” we heard from her? If I’m not wrong that was “Infinity” last year in April. So, yeah, this was already due!
Mariah Carey is making a little cameo on Season 3 of FOX’s hit show “Empire” and of course she had to record a little something, something for the series and for the fans. “Infamous” is the new song she has done alongside Jussie Smollett and you will see them both perform this love ballad on Episode 3, "What Remains Is Bestial”, of the new season when it airs on October 5th. The full audio of “Infamous” has already been released, though, so fans can know the lyrics before Mimi hits the small screen next week. “Infamous” was “world premiere” on EW.com last night, but we also have the official embed of the audio at the bottom of this page so you don’t have to lose time going over there.
“I said you mean the world to me,” Miss Carey sings. “Say what you are is infamous. It’s such a rush reality. I’m so into you. I know it’s dangerous, but I believe a greater love there’ll never be.”
So pretty, Mariah and Jussie’s voices sound so good together, I’m loving the intimate production, and I’m just super thrilled to be hearing a new Mariah Carey song. Can’t believe how much I have missed her. Can she please release a new album soon? “Infamous” is EVERYTHING, she shines and excels in it, and this has made me have a vast hunger for new Mimi music - and I don’t think I’ll be able to stay alive without “food” for my soul for too long.
