Watch Zayn Perform His Next Single “Like I Would” LIVE on “Jimmy Fallon”
Mr. Malik, Zayn Malik that is, appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night, March 24th, to deliver the very first live performance of his song “Like I Would”, a self-penned tune from his debut solo album “Mind of Mine” which arrived in stores today, March 25th. Great move by RCA to book this high-profile performance slot for Zayn the day prior the album release, huh? Good work!
By the way, “Like I Would”, where he warns his ex that her new man won’t be able to give her the same “satisfaction”, ain’t just a random song from the album that Zayn randomly decided to perform on TV last night. The groovy, alternative R&B track is the OFFICIAL SECOND SINGLE from “Mind of Mine”. So as Aretha would say, show a little bit of R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
So, did Zayn kill his “Like I Would” performance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” yesterday? Well, overall it looked like a solid performance, but there were a few moments where I felt that the (vocal) struggle was real. Zayn really had a bad time trying to nail the choruses. But oh well, all in all he kind of saved the performance and the overall result was positive.
By the way, really liking this shaved head on him - about time he stopped messing with his hair with all those color changes (better all shaved up!) - and his back-up singers were everything! Them SISTAS were really feeling the beat of “Like I Would”.
