'Watch The Throne' Complete Album Lyrics!
Hip-Hop Heavyweights Kanye West and Jay-Z finally see their 'dream project' realized! August 8th, 2011 marks the release date of their first joint album 'Watch The Throne' - An ambitious project that was first announced in early 2010 by West, who said it would be 5-song EP. However, months passed and no CD was in sight. So it was in October that year when Jay-Z said the magic words; "Hey y'all! 'Watch The Throne' is gon' be a full-length album". The anticipation built by the second, and in January 2011 the first taster from the project hit the Internet, the single "H.A.M". A 'dope' song, but one which in the end was not much supported by fans who felt the elaborate production made lost focus on the important thing, the rapping. Kanye and Jay-Z understood this, and quickly scrapped the original idea of the pompous productions, favoring tracks that would highlight the two MC's vocals and lyrics.
And the time has come to see if the wait was worth it! Kanye and Jay-Z released the album 'Watch The Throne' on August 8th via iTunes with the physical copy hitting retailers on August 12th. The 16-song set boasts productions from; 88-Keys, Jeff Bhasker, Mike Dean, Q-Tip, The Neptunes, The RZA, Swizz Beatz, Lex Luger, No I.D, among others. And regarding collaborations, Frank Ocean, Mr Hudson and Jay-Z's wife R&B star Beyonce all get a feature credit.
