On Episode 12 of Season 41 of “Saturday Night Live”, hosted by Larry David, yesterday, February 6th, British rock band The 1975 were the musical guests.

This was The 1975’s “SNL” debut – congratulations!

The two songs the Matthew Healy-led band performed last night were “Love Me” and “The Sound”. Both appear on The 1975’s second studio album “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” (I kid you not, this is the title of their upcoming album), due in stores in the UK and the US on February 26th via Polydor/Universal.

For these two “Saturday Night Live” performances, the whole band wore black clothes (it almost seemed as if they were performing at a funeral), and frontman Matthew Healy didn’t take off his shirt at all – hallelujah! (but he did take it off for the photoshoot to promote their 'SNL' appearance - see the pics at the top).
