Rock band OneRepublic and Aussie country music singer Keith Urban were the guest performers on the results show episode of 'American Idol' on March 28...Watch below!
The Ryan Tedder-led group performed live on Thursday night their brand new single, the kind of epic, "If I Lose Myself", included on OneRepublic's third studio album "Native" which got released in the US earlier this week, and which according to HitsDailyDouble is said to debut on the Top 5 of Billboard Top 200 next week with 55-60k units sold. For the new televised performance of "If I Lose Myself", Ryan Tedder invited Idol season 5 runner-up Katharine Mcphee to sing with him. Kat didn't turn up until the second verse, and was seated among the Idol hopefuls from where she sang her first lines before joining Ryan on the center stage. It seems the two have somewhat of a friendship. Let us remember Ryan penned for Katharine the song "Touch Me" that was featured on an episode of "Smash".
Also on the evening of March 28, Australian country music singer, and Idol judge, Keith Urban performed live his hit song "Long Hot Summer". So random, you say?. Well, Keith used this high-exposure moment to promote his upcoming summer tour "Light The Fuse" whose tickets go on sale April 5. So it was an intelligent marketing move in the end.
