Watch: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Perform 'Thrift Shop' On Saturday Night Live
The success of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' single 'Thrift Shop' has been overwhelming to say the least. Especially when you consider in the fact that they are both independent artists. Earlier in the night, they took that success to the stage of Saturday Night Live for a live rendition of the hit single. They also brought along Singer Michael Wansley on stage for his hook vocals.
'Thrift Shop' has been dominating Billboard’s Digital Songs chart with the #1 spot the past seven weeks and also has reached certified triple platinum status with over 3 million records sold. The music video itself has already reached 135 million views on Youtube. Their album, 'The Heist', reached 379,000 in sales last week. Very impressive numbers with no major label backing behind them.
