Ms Lana del Rey was in attendance and win big at the 2013 Echo Awards - Germany's most prestigious music accolades - held at the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin on March 21. Lana, who looked heavenly in white, was proclaimed triumphant in the "Best International Newcomer" and "Best Rock/Pop Artist" categories, the former being given by France's ex first lady, "Quelqu'un m'a dit" singer Carla Bruni. Also at the Echo Awards 2013 ceremony, UK's Emeli Sandé had her spotlight moment when she performed - or should I say annihilated us by singing - her amazing ballad "Read All About It (Pt. III)", lifted from her debut "Our Version of Events". The song reached #3 in the UK and #5 in Germany. Boy, she was on fiiiire. Mad vocals, mad sentiment!
