Watch: J. Cole Performs 'Power Trip' On 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon'

J. Cole took his album promotion to national TV earlier tonight as he hit the stage on the 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' show to perform his hit single 'Power Trip'. The record, which is currently sitting at the 21 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, also features Miguel on the hook but unfortunately he was nowhere to be found. No problem for the Roc Nation signee as he received backing from The Roots and put on a good performance.

'Power Trip' serves as the lead single from Cole's sophomore album 'Born Sinner'. The project's release date was recently pushed up a week from June 25th to June 18th, which also happens to be the same date Kanye West is dropping his album 'Yeezus'. Cole explained the date change to Billboard: "I'm not going to sit [here]... I worked too hard to come a week later after Kanye West drops an amazing album. It'd be like, 'Oh and J.Cole dropped too, a week later.' Nah. I'm going to go see him on that date. He's the greatest. So it's like, I'm a competitor by nature so it was instant, it wasn't even a thought,".

Pre-order for 'Born Sinner' is now available. You can purchase 'Power Trip' on iTunes. Watch the performance above.
