WATCH: Good Charlotte Perform on 'Lopez Tonight' & Far East Movement on 'Jay Leno'
Good Charlotte released this week their fifth studio album "Cardiology" in the US. That's why the Madden twins and Co also kicked-off not long ago the promotional rounds on TV to support the record. The band's latest stop was on Thursday's episode of Lopez Tonight. There, they performed the project's lead single "Like It's Het Birthday". The performance was AWESOME! However, although I really like the song I feel this style of music is kinda dead nowadays. Pop/punk is not what it used to be, just think of Sum 41, Simple Plan, etc, or even more rockish bands like Green Day. Taking a quick glance at the Hot 100, I can only find Daughtry or Linkin Park in the top spots. Pop, euro-pop, dance, electro-pop music, that's what's IN/sells right now. I know bands like Good Charlotte wouldn't be in favour to drastically change their style but if they want to stay relevant I think they should think of a new approach. Just saying...
Far East Movement and lovely Dev took the stage on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno earlier this week to deliver a new performance of their smash hit "Like A G6". As usual the guys turned the stage into a big dancefloor jumping from side to side while poor Dev had to be stand-up still like a mannequin doing her lip-synched chorus xD. "Like A G6" lost this week the top position on Billboard's Hot 100 due to Ke$ha's amazing sucess with "We R Who We R". Anyhow, FM delivered an entertaining show, good club song, but I feel they need to move on now lol. I want "Rocketeer" performances!
