Watch: Ed Sheeran Performs 'Sing' + Debuts 'Don't' On Saturday Night Live

Ed Sheeran Performing On Saturday Night Live

After debuting his new single 'Sing' earlier this week on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, Ed Sheeran traveled overseas to New York City for an appearance on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' show. The 23 year old singer-songwriter took the stage for the first ever live performance of 'Sing' and then returned once again towards the end of the show to debut a new track titled 'Don't'.

Not only is Sheeran's appearance on Saturday Night Live tonight the first time he's performed 'Sing' live, but also the first time he's performed with a band on television. The second track Ed performed, 'Don't, is co-produced by Rick Rubin and Benny Blanco. The record is said to be inspired by a secret woman who cheated on him with a friend of his. Sounding pretty good!

Ed Sheeran is the third British musical act to perform on Saturday Night Live so far in 2014, with the previous two being Bastille and Sam Smith. His sophomore album, 'X', is scheduled to land in stores on June 23rd and the tracklist has already been revealed over on iTunes. The 16-track project includes contributions from big name producers such as Pharrell, Rick Rubin, Benny Blanco, Jake Gosling, and more.
