Watch: Candice Glover Performs US National Anthem at PBS Memorial Day Concert
Season 12 American Idol winner Candice Glover had the honour to perform the US national anthem as the introduction to PBS' "2013 National Memorial Day Concert" held at the US Capitol in Washington, DC on May 25. Watch below!
Yes! Candice delivered a stirring, and beautiful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner". She clearly didn't show her major vocal guns in this performance, though. I have the feeling Candice could've blown us away hugely yesterday, but since she was performing the US national anthem for the first time on a major TV show, and at such important setting like the US Capitol, I'm convinced she preferred to keep it simple and a little safe by Candice's standards. Towards the end of the PBS Memorial Day Concert, Candice joined other musicians, including fellow Idol pal Jessica Sanchez, to perform "America The Beautiful". Candice's debut CD "Music Speaks" hits stores July 16.
