Watch Britney Spears & Tinashe Perform “Slumber Party” TOGETHER For The First Time at KIIS FM Jingle Ball!
Princess of pop Britney Spears and princess of R&B Tinashe joined forces last night at 102.7 KIIS FM's 2016 Jingle Ball held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to deliver the first ever JOINT PERFORMANCE of their "Slumber Party" remix (the new single from Brit Brit's "Glory" album). And although this remix didn't have the best of starts on the Billboard Hot 100 (debuted at #86...), I'm confident its charting will improve in a few weeks when radio starts playing it more and hopefully a couple of TV performances are booked by RCA Records.
Yesterday's debut "joint performance" of the "Slumber Party" remix was... cute.
Britney and Tinashe repeated the music video's choreography, chemistry was alright, there were fireworks, but the vocals... oh the vocals. No, they didn't sing live, and unfortunately the lip-sync was not flawless.
Looks like they didn't rehearse enough because Tinashe's seemed lost at many moments. She didn't know when her part was on and didn't know when to do a dance move or not either. The most obvious example was towards the end of the performance when she simply MISSED her finale ad-libs.
