Beyoncé is surely a promise-keeper! In mid-May, the R&B superstar had to cancel the first of her two 'Mrs. Carter Show Tour' shows in Antwerp, Belgium due to "dehydration and exhaustion" reasons. Bey quickly hand-wrote an apology note to her Belgian fans and posted the image on her official website. The note read, "I've never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. I'm sorry if I disappointed you.". Tour organisers re-scheduled the cancelled Antwerp show - from the original date of May 14 - to May 31, 2013.
Beyonce just performed that show, and she surely kept her promise of, "I will make it up very soon". For the Blue Ivy mom treated her 25,000 fans packing the Sportpaleis Arena with the debut performance of her new song, "Standing On The Sun". Beyoncé performed the entirety of song. So far, the only thing we got was the preview featured on the H&M summer campaign commercial. And boy, lemme just say, "Standing On The Sun" is the bomb! This has got to be one of Bey's best songs ever. Love her vocals, love the production, LOVED the reggae breakdown unveiled in the live performance, and of course, that chorus just MURDERS me. Ahhh! We really need for Beyonce to give us the HQ studio edit, ASAP! Oh, and rumor has it her new album comes out this November.
