Vanessa Carlton Drops First New Song In Years, Listen To “Young Heart”

Am I dreaming? *pinches myself* No, it’s the real world! Vanessa Carlton has premiered new music. “Young Heart”, exclusively unveiled by Esquire.com on April 20th, is the first offering by the Pennsylvania singer since 2011’s “Rabbits on the Run”. The song won’t be appearing on Carlton’s fifth studio album “Liberman” (to be released independently this fall) but she’s said that fans should regard this “pre-single single” as a ‘taste’ of what they can expect to hear on her upcoming first album in four years – which she recorded between Nashville and England in the latest months with the help of Adam Landry, John McCauley and Steve Osborne.

Vanessa Carlton has a “Young Heart”

Don’t expect her to be releasing a new “A Thousand Miles” or “White Houses” anytime soon as Vanessa has fully embraced now the ‘indie’ side of the industry and she’s loving it. Producing tranquil vocals, with a slight touch of ‘distortion’ effect, over a guitar-based production, indie Nessa sings about the innocent spirit of a girl with a “young heart” in the newly-premiered “pre-single single”.
