An unreleased Miley Cyrus that goes by the name of “Nightmare”, allegedly produced by Dr. Luke, has just leaked on the Internet in its full version and it’s amazing.
According to work on the street, this song is a leftover from the “Bangerz” sessions. But why in Heaven’s name wasn’t this included? It’s honestly better than a few of the songs that did make it into the final tracklist.
Miley sings about the heartbreak that is breaking up with your boyfriend and how she can’t believe he’s not lying next to her anymore in “Nightmare”; “I'm still trying to wake up from this / From this nightmare / But you're not there”. Ms. Cyrus wants to believe that it’s all just a nightmare, but unfortunately my dear it is not. You are single and alone and you can’t change that. He is GONE.
Although the song’s message might be a little bit pessimistic, the electro-pop production makes it sound as an uplifting happy anthem, lol. I mean, I may not be relate to the message of the song because I’m not living what Miley is singing about but I still want to dance to its infectious beat in the club.
“Nightmare” is one of those songs where the verses are universe better than the chorus. As a whole, it’s a great track anyway.
