Union J "Union J" Complete Album Lyrics

union debut album hq cover artwork

Now that JLS are out of the way, here comes Union J! The latest British boyband - formed in Series 9 of "The X Factor UK" last year - have set October 28th as the release date of their self-titled debut album. Union J's first studio work features 10 songs in its standard edition, in contrast to the 14 included in the "deluxe" edition. Sadly, the latter features three acoustic versions and only one extra original song.

Producers and writers in this album are diverse. From Steve Mac, Claude Kelly, Toby Gad (Beyonce), Wayne Hector (The Wanted, Nicki Minaj), to Jason Derulo, Karen Poole or Lindy Robbins (Selena Gomez). There are definitely more mid-tempos on "Union J" than up-tempos. And although, that can be worrisome in certain cases, the guys' slow jams most of the times steal the shine away from the party-starters. They have great voices.

The relese of "Union J" (album) is preceded by two official singles. The first, "Carry You", debuted a #6 on the UK charts in the summer. The second, "Beautiful Life", yet another mid-tempo single single, was released in Britain on October 20th. According to mid-week reports, "Beautiful Life" would only match the debut position of its predecessor, that is, #6. My personal favorites for follow-ups are "Beethoven" and "Where Are You Now".
