Taylor Swift Reveals “Bad Blood” Video Premiere Date, Teaser And…Confirms Billboard Music Awards Performance!?
Katy Perry better get prepared. Taylor Swift is coming for her.
Today (May 7) the country/pop star took to her social outlets to announce the May 17 premiere date for her “Bad Blood” music video. The song (inspired by Taylor’s animosity towards “Teenage Dream” star Katy Perry) is the next single from “1989”.
The video will premiere on 2015 Billboard Music Awards night. When exactly? A time is yet to be revealed.
Through a press release made public first by Billboard.com, Joseph Khan has been confirmed as the “Bad Blood” video director, and that the “never-before-seen video includes multiple starring roles played by a cast of Golden Globe winners, Emmy winners, Grammy winners, an Oscar nominee, blockbuster movie stars, as well as both new and iconic supermodels”. Hello? That’s going to be so much star-studdedness that I won’t be able to handle!
I don’t know who the ‘guest’ stars in the “Bad Blood” clip are going to be yet except for one; the ‘Oscar nominee’. That’s GOT TO BE Taylor’s friend Hailee Steinfeld.
We don’t know either anything about the MV’s plot yet but expect something cinematic, dark and high-budgeted for sure. The only piece of info we do have about it is the teaser poster Tay Tay uploaded to her socials today (see above). It’s a close-up black and white photo of her looking mean to the camera and wearing a black leather jacket. It's also mentioned in the poster that Taylor's going to play a character named "Catastrophe" (I smell trouble!).
BY THE WAY, the first version of this poster that Taylor uploaded included the 2015 Billboard Music Awards logo (see below) but she quickly deleted that. Maybe she didn’t want to spoil her PERFORMANCE at the awards ceremony next week? OMG!! Please make that happen!
Note: The US leg of the "1989" tour doesn't start until May 20. So the logo can really be an indication of a performance and not just something about the video premiere.
