Taylor Swift - Back To December (Music Video!)
Country princess Taylor Swift premiered today (January 13th) the music video for "Back To December", the official second single from her hugely successful third studio album "Speak Now" - the LP has sold over 3 million copies in the US alone so far!! Crazy. "Back To December" was released as a 'promo single' back in October 2010, as part of Taylor's iTunes "Countdown" campaign, remember?, and thanks to this it managed to easily peak at #6 on the Hot 100. I mean, her album wasn't out yet and all Tay fans were buying those 'countdown' singles like crazy! Eventually BTD fell out of the Hot 100. But, now that the Nathan Chapman-produced ballad was confirmed as the official second single from "Speak Now" and re-released, it has re-entered the Billboard chart. First at #74 and most recently peaked at #26.
We were impatiently waiting for the music video to come out - Taylor has really taken her time with it! - but here finally is. I'm sure the clip will help "Back To December" push up a few spots on the Hot 100 chart now. The single was already asking for more promo. I want this song in the Top 5! The music video is set in a 'wintry-chilly' location, Taylor at her house reflecting about the relationship with her (ex?) boyfriend. The couple just split-up, Tay writes a letter for him before he leaves the house, puts it in his coat pocket, the guy leaves, then he sits in the bleachers and reads Swift's letter. How it all ends? We just don't know! lol.
