Sophia Grace Coming For That Urban Hit With "Best Friends": Watch The Adorable Music Video (But Where's Rosie?)

Where is Rosie? That is the question everyone is asking after watching Sophia Grace's latest music video, "Best Friends". The 11-year-old British singer, who rose to fame by appearing multiple times on “The Ellen Show" after posting a cover video of Nicki Minaj's "Superbass" on YouTube that went viral, released last November 2014 on iTunes a brand new one-off single titled “Best Friends”, and although the song didn’t feature vocals by her cousin Rosie (on ‘Ellen’, they did everything together; met superstars together, interviewed on the red carpet together, and of course, performed together), everyone was expecting to see a glimpse of adorable Rosie in the official video for “Best Friends”. Well, the MV premiered last night (Jan. 6) via YouTube and no trace of Rosie could be found in it. Don’t believe me? Have a watch below then:

Rosie doesn’t sing. At least she never sang with Sophia on 'Ellen', but it's impossible to imagine Sophia Grace without her cousin. For the 2013 single "Girls Just Gotta Have Fun”, Sophia did all the singing and rapping as well, but in the video, Rosie did have some co-starring participation. So why changing that for the “Best Friends” MV? The only ‘image’ we have of Rosie in the video is when Sophia enters a department store and there's a photo of Sophia and Rosie hanging from the roof indicating the ‘Sophia and Rosie’ fashion merchandising is located there.

Bad move by Sophia for removing Rosie in this video (maybe she wants to ‘shine’ solo as of now, but being selfish might backfire on her because I personally don't see a short-term success from Sophia Grace happening without the 'support' of Rosie).

“Best Friends”

Focusing just on the song; it is B.A.N.A.N.A.S! A certified urban smash, Sophia’s flow and swagger is on point, the production sounds DJ Mustard-like (I was honestly expecting a ‘Mustard on da beat’ shout out in the beginning), the BFF message is relatable to everyone, and overall, “Best Friends” is fire.com, .org, and .net!

The fact that I'm really digging this song doesn’t change what I think about the non-presence of Rosie in the video, though.. Sophia needs to bring her back for the next one! I mean, even if I like the song, I don't think the "Best Friends" video will match the same YouTube views as the "Girls Just Gotta Have Fun” video (that did feature Rosie) - for the mere fact that Rosie isn't in the new one. Also, do you even imagine paying for a concert to see Sophia do "Best Friends" live and Rosie weren't there? I'd want my money back!

Rosie rant over.

Thoughts?
