Sleigh Bells Perform On 'Saturday Night Live'

American 'noise pop music' duo Sleigh Bells - made of Alexis Krauss and Derek E Miller - played the gig of their lives last night (February 18th) by taking the legendary stage of 'Saturday Night Live' - There, they treated the NBC viewers with live renditions of their songs "Comeback Kid" and "End of the Line" from the forthcoming album "Reign of Terror", out next week on February 21st.

Sleigh Bells are signed to an indie label, Mom+Pop Records, and normally these labels pay expensive tv gigs for their acts when they have either; a) sold a great number of albums, or b) have potentially hit singles coming up. For instance, earlier this month on SNL, Bon Iver took the stage. They're an indie band too, a Grammy-award winning one though, they've sold pretty decently and have had a couple of well-received singles, so they were more than worthy to do a 'Saturday Night Live' gig. Nevetheless, none of these factors apply to Sleigh Bells, so I'm assuming their label must only have MAD hope, and expectations resting upon this group, cause these guys haven't had a big break yet. Risky stuff!

As for Sleigh Bells's SNL performances, they did their usual thing. I mean this is 'noise pop' people, which means sexy vocals, heavy guitar and incomprehensible lyrics, lol. I dig Sleigh Bells' music. Hopefully they'll soon find THE SONG to become a household name in America.

What do YOU think of the performances?
