Single Review: Martin Garrix - "There For You" f/ Troye Sivan, Audio Included!
This song Martin Garrix previewed a few weeks ago during one of his concerts around the world, and after patiently waiting, he’s finally released the high quality studio version on digital stores for the listening pleasure of his loyal fans. I’m talking about the Dutch DJ’s collaboration with Australian indie pop sensation Troye Sivan, “There For You”.
“So when your tears roll down your pillow like a river / I'll be there for you / But you gotta be there for me too”, sings Troye on the chorus of the new Martin Garrix single – a song where Mr. Sivan talks about reciprocity when in a relationship. I’ll give you my all, but you have to give me your all too. This is a two way street! (And this is good message! There shouldn’t be a “stronger” part in relationships. Both partners should have equal power and duties).
“There For You” is a pretty chill EDM track, and the kind of a song you play at the start of a get-together with friends at your house. It’s not for fist-pumping dancing at the club but more of a head-nodding anthem ideal for when you sip your first cocktail.
