Sia Covers Rihanna In New York City
Uber-talented singer-songwriter Sia dropped by the who-knew-it-existed 2012 Norwegian-American Achievement Award gala held at The Broad Street Ballroom in New York City on Wednesday (November 28) where besides supporting her boys, record producing and Grammy award winning Norwegian duo StarGate (this year's recipient of the award), Sia also took the stage to stun us with a cover of "Diamonds".
As you all already know, Rihanna's latest smash "Diamonds" was penned by Sia, and produced by Stargate (along with Benny Blanco), and apparently as some kind of extraodinary tribute Sia performed "Diamonds" for the gala attendees but especially for Stargate. Looks like Rihanna was too busy to thank her boys too. In any case, you chesrish this Sia rendition of "Diamonds" because it may be the first and last we see! And well, what can I say about it? She nailed it. Her performance clearly proves Rihanna memorized Sia's singing style. It's so alike! Loved Sia's emotion in every lyric, and vocal display. Flawless!
