Sia premiered today (April 2) on VEVO the official music video for her next “1000 Forms of Fear”, the Greg Kurstin-produced “Big Girls Cry” (allegedly a retaliation to the Fergie hit “Big Girls Don’t Cry”), and it sees a familiar little girl starring in it.
It’s the super talented Maddie Ziegler! Directed by Daniel Askill and Sebastian Wintero, the “Big Girls Cry” visual shows only Maddie serving the craziest facial expressions against a pitch-black backdrop. It might sound as a little too simple, little boring concept but it’s so impossible to miss any of it as Maddie’s “intensity” makes you want to watch the full video without blinking.
Is Sia “exploiting” little Maddie a little too much? Well, she really should be giving Maddie a rest and coming up with other creative stuff for her performances and music videos, but anyway go Maddie! Sia’s making her rich.
