Shakira on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest": Talks Sexy Music Video with Rihanna, Announces Country Duet with Blake Shelton
Shakira is in L.A. The Barranquilla singer is in town to kill to birds with one stone. She's going to do interviews on television to promote the upcoming February 24th premiere of Season 6 of "The Voice USA" (she's back as a coach alongside Usher), but before that, she gets the time to plug "Can't Remember To Forget You" too. Her catchy, reggae-rock collaboration with Rihanna is burning up on radio and the charts. True it's not yet a #1 hit, but just be a little patient. The video is already VEVO Certified (over 100 million views), the song is doing well on Top 40 radio, and although as of this post the song is at #44 on iTunes, just hang on until the RCA book a live performance with both Shakira and Rihanna appearing on a live show of "The Voice USA" this season. It's going to happen!
Anyway, today, February 11th, Shakira stopped by the studios of "On Air with Ryan Seacrest". She talked the sexy (matress + caressing) music video of "Can't Remeber To Forget You", if she's still in touch with the Bajan singer, motherhood, played "Marry, Kiss, Kill" (with Usher, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as the options), and finally she confirmed to Ryan that she's recorded a country song with Blake. Shakira's first country song! Exciting, right? She said she wrote the song with a few people "from Nashville", she sent the demo to Blake, he loved it, and the song was immediately made a duet.
Shakira's self-titled tenth studio album hits stores on March 25th.
