Selena Gomez Performs on Good Morning America!
Selena Gomez woke up very early on Thursday to perform on Good Morning America at ABC's Time Square studios in NYC. Ms Gomez has been promoting non-stop this week her sophomore CD "A Year Without Rain" which hit shelves on Tuesday, September 21st. After a short interview with GMA host, Robin Roberts (watch below), Selena hit the stage to perform her latest single and album's title track "A Year Without Rain" and "Round and Round". La Gomez wore for this TV appearance a very casual outfit - jeans and blouse - appropiate for those early hours. I wasn't expecting her to put on a chic cocktail dress at 7 in the morning! Selena did a good job today. She seems to really enjoy performing "Round and Round", probably because it's not that vocally demanding. Plus she gets to move around the stage and just "feel good". However, when the time came to sing "A Year Without Rain", she def did not delivered. She's got to work more on that peformance. Change the tone or something. The bridge in particular was a bit of a mess.
Anyways, I was really rooting all this hard-work Selena is doing would pay off on the sales/charts next week. However, according to Hits Daily Double, Selena's new album would sell in its debut week between 50k - 60k. A FAIL if you ask me. All this TV/radio promo plus two expensive videos for nothing? And don't forget she's got "The Wizards of Waverly Place" too. Selena's first album "Kiss & Tell" sold 66,000 copies in its first week so if the second doesn't beat that then her label should call an emergency meeting.
