Selena Gomez’ Next Single “Fetish” Out July 13: See The Cover Art!

Got tired of “Bad Liar”? Worry not because Selena Gomez is coming out with a new single next week!

At the end of the “Bad Liar” music video Selena teased us with the mysterious title “Fetish”. At that point we didn’t know if “Fetish” was the title of Selena’s next single or if it was the title of her forthcoming studio album. But what she revealed just moments ago via Instagram has clarified all the doubts. “Fetish” is Bad Liar’s follow-up.

The new Selena Gomez single will be released on July 13th (next Thursday), and possibly the music video will be premiering next week too. “Fetish” is a collaboration with rapper Gucci Mane (the rapper who’s featured on Fifth Harmony’s “Down”) and the main photo you see at the top of this post is the official single’s artwork.

The cover art for “Fetish” sees Selena Gomez wearing a summer-ready long yellow dress, white sneakers, and carrying two bags of grocery shopping as she poses in front of a broken car in a suburban neighborhood. The photo of the artwork was taken from the “Fetish” music video.

Does the cover art give you “Fetish” vibes? No, right? I’m getting zero vibes too. I wonder if Selena is going to serve a different concept or if she will use the word “Fetish” to adapt to a whole different scenario other than sex.

PS: I’m so sad for Demi Lovato. She’s releasing a new single next week too and now she’s going to be totally overshadowed and outpeaked by Selena’s new single.

Oh, and now I understand why she opted to release “Sorry Not Sorry” next Tuesday and not next Friday, the day everybody else in the industry choose these days to release new material. She clearly had heard about Selena’s new single coming out Thursday midnight/Friday of next week and she didn’t want a same-day competition. She’s releasing her single two days earlier so she can at least go #1 on iTunes (if “Despacito” lets her) for a short amount of time and get that satisfaction.
